Love and compassion – Lucia’s journey to “Le Bost” Dhagpo Kundreul Ling Buddhist centre.

Love and compassion.

I ‘ m just back from a lovely trip in the middle of France.

I have being to “Le Bost” a tiny village, not more than 10 houses . In this small place a big glim of hope was created: Dhagpo Kundreul Ling Buddhist centre .

Dhagpo Kundreul Ling Buddhist centre is a community where men and women reside in order to practice, preserve and spread the Buddha’s teachings (The Dharma).

This centre is the largest group of retreat centres and monastic hermitages in Europe.

It belongs to the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and is placed under the spiritual direction of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje and Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche. It was founded in 1984 by Lama Gendun Rinpoche, a highly accomplished yogi and spiritual master chosen by the 16th Karmapa to teach the Buddhadharma in the West.

I went there because my friends just ultimate the 3 years retreat.

The retreats offer the possibility of intensive, uninterrupted practice which progressively lead to a deep understanding of the Dharma.

Every year  my friends has being concentrated on different topic: how to create  a base for a solid spiritual path, how to develop calmness of the mind and how to develop a practice that will bring to enlightenment.

Going to “Le Bost” for me means to slow down my life,  take the time needed in order to observe and contemplate it, to give space to my brain to calm down and reach a higher clarity of mind.

“Le Bost” is also meeting point for friends that have decided to follow the Buddhist path, that do recognize that love and compassion are a “must” in life.

Every time I find a very strong sense of community, here.

People loving and taking care of each other.

As Guendune Rinpoché says “ What it is making a center, a big center are the people living in it”.

 Master Guendune Rinpoche

I noticed that in a good community practicing and transmitting the Dharma it comes by itself , spontaneously …

What makes me daily deciding to walk “the Buddhist path” is the deep respect, love, compassion and purity which is intrinsic in the Dharma (Buddha’s teachings).

To live on Planet Earth knowing that we are all brothers and sisters, all deeply connected, and interconnected makes me think that till there is someone suffering I could not be happy my self .

That’s why I keep working on my self, for the others and for the deep respect we should all have for Mother Earth and hers creatures.
